Watching for Weller and Other Adventures

Life has been very busy for this puppy over the last few days, and I have loved every minute of it.

On Wednesday, the place where Doc and I work had an event for patient’s called Spring Into Recovery, that focused on April being National Stress Awareness month. Since Doc and I run the Stress Management group, we were front and center. We sat behind a booth that had literature about managing stress and we had “stress balls” that we gave out that were a big hit. Of course , I sat there like a good boy and people came up to say hi and pet me. I loved seeing everyone and getting hgs and pets. The only time Doc had to correct me was when I started barking when no one was petting me. Doc said I need to work on not thinking I am the center of the universe, reminding me I am at work to give comfort not demand it from others.

On Wednesday, after work, Doc took me to the veterinarian’s office to get my nails trimmed. I won’t hold still at home to let doc do it, so she takes me to the professionals. Before I went back to get my pedicure, they weighed me. Doc was flabergasted when they told her I now weigh 77 pounds at five months old. I gained seven pounds in six weeks. It looks like I am going to be bigger than than average fro my breed.

After we got home from the Vet’s I went over to the window to see if my doggy friend Weller was outside. He is a silver lab that lives behind us and he is my best friend. He is older than me and I admire how fast he can run when he chases the geese away from the pond in back of our house. I love Weller. Even thought I am still young and goofy, he likes me just the way I am. You are lucky if you have a friend like that.

Thursday, Doc and I worked from home. Everything was peaceful, until some movement in the yard by the fence got my attention. I am sorry to judge, but I saw the strangest
